In operation since 2016, Mount Olivet is a facility which provides a place of retreat and refreshment that fosters Godly intimacy. Nestled in between the mountains but easily accessible on Malibongwe drive, Mount Olivet is 15 km from Lanseria and 30 km from brits and Pretoria. The Mountain boasts 8 self-contained room, a hall and kitchen factifies as well as a camp site.

Mount Olivet is often referred to in the bible as the Mount of Olives and it is a place that has great significance in Scripture based on the events that transpired on the mountain. The calling to establish the prayer mountain was to provide Christians with special place where Gods promises would be fulfilled and where hope would be restored.

Fulfilled Prophecies

We believe that your visit to the Mountain will result in the fulfilment of prophecies that you have received either through prophets or in conversation with the Creator.

The Account of Prophecies fulfilled on Mount Olivet
The triumphal entry prophesied in the Old Testament, took place Mount Olivet. Jesus rode into Jerusalem on the back of a donkey (Psalm 118:22, 25-26, Daniel 9:25, Zechariah 9:9, 16, and Matthew 21). Jesus taught from the Mount of Olives, prophesying on His second coming (Matthew 24-25). Jesus’s ascension took place thereafter His resurrection (Acts 1:9-12).

A Place of Prayer.

Every believer must have their usual place of prayer where they connect with the Creator and be guaranteed results.

The Account of Mount Olivet as a Prayer Place.
After the last supper, Scripture tells us that, “Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives” (Luke 22:29). The scripture tells us that even `Christ had a place where he regularly prayed and renewed his strength.

A Place of Hope.

Perhaps because so many prayers have gone up here, that great men and women of God would have come before you, prayed for you, you will find that it will be easy to converse with The Most High here. Whatever you have lost you will find restoration and renewed hope on Mount Olivet.

In Jerimiah 29: 11 reads “ For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

The Account of Mount Olivet being a place of Hope.

The Mount Olivet is a place of redemption. Jesus suffered not only on the cross but also in the garden of Gethsemane(Luke 22:39-45). The Mount of Olives reminds us that Christ has paid the price for our redemption.
Jesus rose from the dead and ultimately ascended into heaven, the prophet Zechariah reminds us that, one day, Christ’s “feet will stand on the Mount of Olives, east of Jerusalem (Zechariah 14:4), and that one day “the LORD will be king over all the earth” (Zechariah 14:9)

This is a place of…

Refuge & Rest

“Come unto me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you Rest.” Jesus said that, and He is most certainly here in this place, waiting for you. He is waiting for you to lay your back pack of worries and weariness, hustle and hassle, cares and concerns, at His feet. When you do, He will replace it with a soft, white garment of light and praise.

Peace and Joy

For “the Lord your God is with you, He is mighty to save. He will take great delight in you, He will quiet you with His Love, He will rejoice over you with singing.” Zephaniah 3:17

Restoration

Perhaps because so many prayers have gone up here, perhaps because of the freedom that solitude allows, you will find that tears flow easily here. They may be tears of sorrow or conviction, weariness or discouragement, praise, surrender or joy. Whatever their source, they will be tears that cleanse and release you in unforeseen ways.

Hope

For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29:11

Healing

As you step in, your healing begins and it is completed as you sit down at the healing fountain to thank God for your healing. You may be praying with one of our pastors who will lead you in prayer or you may be alone in conversation with your Creator.

Awe

Tread softly here. You’ll see no burning bush or pillar of fire, yet the Holy One fills this place. Wait quietly before Him; He may want to do heart surgery on you, or teach you what it means to truly dwell under the shadow of the Almighty.

Worship

All creation surrounding you is lifting its arms in praise to Creator God. How can you do otherwise. Psalm 19, Our Sanctuary worshippers may be there to usher you through worship into the presence of the Lord.
